This is a wintery view of the famous “Sycamore Gap” that once stood on the Hadrian’s Wall route in Northumberland. This solitary tree became known locally as Sycamore Gap after featuring briefly in the 1990s movie Robin Hood Prince of Thieves.
I am David Mandle, an artist based in Cumbria in Northern England and I love specialising in pencil work. This is a print taken from one of my original drawings simply titled “Sycamore Gap in Winter” in which I used a combination of graphite, coloured and pastel pencil. The print is signed by myself.
Northumberland is one of my favourite places to draw and I produced this drawing using a combination of coloured pencil and soft graphite pencil.
The drawing is mounted and comes in a plain black frame.
Framed size 22.5cm x 17.5cm, image size 15cm x 10cm
